These terms govern this website and everything PlayaStays Design Studio sells — interior design, design-build construction, technology installation and custom furniture. Every project is also governed by its own signed proposal. Where the two differ, the proposal prevails.

Scope
These terms apply to this website and to our design, build, technology and furniture services in Playa del Carmen and the Riviera Maya. Your signed proposal sets the specifics — scope, price, timeline — and where it conflicts with this page, the proposal wins.
Proposals & Pricing
Quotes are written and itemized, in Mexican pesos unless stated otherwise. A quote is valid for 20 days from the date of issue. After that, ask for a fresh one — materials move.
Payments
Custom work is commissioned with a 70% down payment; the balance is due on delivery. Once fabrication or procurement begins, the down payment is non-refundable — the slab is cut, the fabric is ordered, the crew is booked.
Custom & Artisanal Work
Everything we build is made to order. Once fabrication starts, changes are not accepted — a change means a new quote. Handmade pieces show natural variance in grain, tone and finish. That is the work, not a defect.
Delivery & Installation
Included in Playa del Carmen, by our own crew. Elsewhere on the coast, quoted separately. If delivery is delayed at your request for more than 30 days, storage may be charged.
Warranties
We stand behind what we build. The workmanship guarantee for your project is stated in your proposal, in writing — no fine print, no asterisks.
The Concept Lab
Concept Lab renders are concepts — not construction documents, not measured drawings, not a promise of a specific material. By uploading photos you grant us a limited license to process them for one purpose: producing your renders. We do not publish client uploads.
Intellectual Property
Designs, drawings and renders remain the studio’s property until the related project is paid in full. Then they’re yours to keep. Everything else on this site — text, photography, the renders in our portfolio — is ours.
Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amounts you paid for the affected work. We fix what we got wrong — we don’t underwrite what we didn’t build.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Mexico. Any dispute belongs to the courts of Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo — the same town where the work is made.
