01Survey levels and drainage
Where the water goes is the whole job. We check falls, outlets and the structure before choosing a surface.
02Design it as a room
Zones for eating, lounging and sun, with the circulation that makes them usable. Shade and lighting planned in, not added later.
03Surface, shade and build
Travertine, chukum or hardwood deck, laid to a fall. Pergola or palapa where the sun needs breaking, planting where it needs softening.

Outdoor furniture built for the weather, lighting on a circuit you can actually switch, and a terrace you use after dark.

Can my rooftop support a terrace build?
Almost always — but we verify before we design. Every rooftop project starts with a structural review, and we engineer decking, planters and pools to the slab’s real capacity.
What surfaces work best here?
Tzalam and composite decking, local stone and polished concrete all age gracefully in the Riviera Maya. We’ll show you all of them at the studio.
How long does a rooftop transformation take?
Shade structure, kitchen and plunge pool are phased in one written schedule — decking and lounge builds lead, the trades follow.
What about shade and rain?
Most terraces need both. A pergola, palapa or louvred roof gives you back the middle of the day, and the deck is pitched and drained so an afternoon storm runs off instead of pooling.
